Martin Returns

So who had a Mega Yacht dropping anchor and severing the fiber optic cable on the ocean floor in Crocus Bay on their 2023 Bingo Card? I sure didn’t, but that is precisely what happened. You don’t realize how much you depend on these technical devices until they are all gone. It certainly gave unplugged new meaning and put me way behind schedule.

I did not have the return of our American Flamingo on my 2023 Bingo Card either.

On Wednesday afternoon, I got a text from Kim Gifford, who said - “you are probably already aware, but there’s a flamingo back in the Sandy Ground salt pond. Martin?”

I immediately rushed down to see first hand. There he was, a vision in pink hanging out in his usual spot.

Can I prove it’s Martin? Absolutely not! But I will continue to believe it is him. He has been absent from our shores for 18 months, and it is great to see him back.

Will his mate show up? Time will tell. We will enjoy his visit for as long as it lasts and respect his space.
